This month *Words withoutBorders* presents writing from Québec. On the margins of both French and North American literary cultures, Québec literature goes beyond its national identity to take its place in the world.
The Québec Delegation in Atlanta is pleased to announce that the American online literary magazine *Words without Borders,* which presents the works of foreign authors to an American audience, is highlighting authors from Québec in its April 2011 edition.
Set in city skyscrapers and rustic retreats, featuring characters ranging from adulterous hockey stars to faithful Canadian Heart Association donors, these stories demonstrate the diverse vitality of writing from Québec. This special issue includes works, translated from the French, by *Nadine Bismuth*, *Pan Bouyoucas*, *Nicolas Dickner*, *Hélène Dorion*, *Dominique Fortier*, *Christine Germain*, *Jacques Poulin* and * Sylvain Trudel*, a graphic novel by *Pascal Girard*, as well as essays by *Michel Biron *and*Elsa Perin*.
This issue was made possible through the collaboration of *Words without Borders,
Blue Metropolis Foundation, the Délégation générale du Québec à New York, the Ministère de la Culture, des Communications et de la Condition féminine, the Société de développement des entreprises culturelles, and the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec.
